My first guest blogger this week is Sarah from Hemenway Street!  Sarah is a wonderful photographer and a has a great eye for design (I mean, just LOOK at her blog!)  She is really sweet and I have so enjoyed getting to know her through blog world.  Make sure you check out her stuff!

Hello there! My name is Sarah, and I write the Boston-based blog, Hemenway Street. I’m thrilled to guest posting for Kate while she’s away. I first came across Kate’s blogs a few months ago, and they have since become firm favorites.

CONEY BEACH | ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX | SEVEN

I absolutely love traveling, and while my student’s budget won’t allow for a spring break trip this year, I can certainly dream. My inspiration comes from this vintage travel poster that was commissioned by British Railways in 1948 to promote train services to Coney Beach. My mother is from Wales, and many of my childhood memories are from visiting my Nana in the little seaside town of Porthcawl. Wales has some incredibly beautiful beaches, and that is where my mind first goes when I think of spring.

For me, it wouldn’t be spring without beautiful and bright colors, and I found myself being drawn to the combination of mustard and coral. Don’t you just love the stripes on this dress? And this coral necklace and passport holder from Kate Spade felt like the perfect way to add some springtime cheer. Although spring break is all about fun, you have to be a little practical too. This versatile bag and these comfortable walking shoes will make sure you’re ready for any adventures you may come across. It’s so important to me to be able to record memories, whether they’re written in a travel journal or captured with a camera.

Where would you go for a spring break trip if you could travel anywhere?
