Welcome to the first day of Wedding Week! Today I am sharing the getting ready shots and the first look!
What you might not know by looking at the photos:
- It had rained in the morning, but the sun came out right as it was time to do the first look. It was still humid, but the weather held out for us perfectly.
- I spent the morning running around the Colonnade Club in my PJs, and professors with Steve Irwin hats kept coming in and out of the room where me and my bridesmaids were getting ready. Really.
- I forgot my jewelry. Seriously. As I was getting ready, I realized I didn't have my earrings or the necklace I was going to wear. Luckily my mom had some earrings and a necklace not too different from what I had been planning on wearing.
- I was half nervous about the flurry of excitement around me, and half weirdly calm about everything. I really just didn't care by the end. Whatever was going to happen would happen, and I definitely was feeling that wedding "zen" that people on wedding blogs were always talking about.
